Fitting CCTV and burglar alarms are common home security devices but they will not prevent somebody from actually gaining entry to your property.

By fitting a retractable security grille, also known as a window grille, to your french doors, patio doors or back door, you can effectively secure these vulnerable points of entry.

When the window grille is not in use it folds back and so can be hidden away behind curtains. The track at the top can also be hidden behind a pelmet and the track at the bottom is able to fold up as required so wheelchair access is not compromised. The window grille itself can be powder coated in a range of colours and so can match your decor to blend in.

The photographs below show a house in Leeds fitted with a retractable security grille by QSec, which physically secures the rear of the property, preventing anyone from gaining entry and also providing a visible deterrent from the outside.

In this case, the retractable security grille has been used to prevent entry into the kitchen if entry has been gained to the conservatory at the back of the house.

A second retractable security grille prevents access through the french doors into the living room.

Once fully retracted this security grille is effectively hidden away behind curtains.
