The domestic Rhino Post is one of the many products that we supply and install from a wide range of vehicle protection that we consider to be of outstanding quality with exceptional security. The telescopic domestic post is ideal for driveways to prevent the theft of cars or caravans. It also is highly visible and will deter thieves from actually reversing up your drive usually in a stolen car to load the various items they have stolen from your house. This may sound rather far-fetched but it really does happen! The RT RD4 can also be used to reserve a private parking space that belongs to you and you wish to prevent others from parking in it. The post also comes in a static variety which is obviously much cheaper than the telescopic post and can be used in conjunction to create a secure area.

The big brother of the RT RD4 is the RT R8 HD security post. These are designed for the commercial sector providing protection for car show rooms and car sales forecourts. Being that bit taller than the RT RD4 at 670mm above ground as opposed to 500mm and with a larger diameter of 90mm rather than the 76mm of the domestic post, they provide excellent ram raid protection. Boasting the same 10 pin anti-drill push button lock as its smaller brother the RT R8 HD which gives the post a high level of security. This post also has a static option and can be round or square in section.

All our vehicle posts can be powder coated any colour from our standard range or for a more up market look the posts can be manufactured in a stainless steel finish. Due to the nature of the product the weight of the post plays a particular role in its security. The domestic post for example weighs in at 22kg with an operating weight of 6kg whereas the RT R8 HD weighs 44kg with an operating weight of 14kg. To operate the post it must be drawn out of the galvanised steel casing at ground level and locked in to place at knee or thigh height.

In order to make operating the post more user friendly we have added to the range the Lift Assist Post. The principal is quite simple and is available on several of the security posts we supply. The internally installed lift assist mechanism greatly reduces the weight of the security post to approximately a third of its standard weight. The security post is fitted with an internal gas spring manufactured from stainless still to ensure its longevity protecting it from the elements. When the security post is lifted out of the ground to assist the operator the gas spring takes the majority of the weight the same is applied when the post is lowered back into the ground.

Other useful products within our security post range include various static posts and removable posts that can either fold down or be removed, these locate into a socket that is fixed into the ground. The advantage of the removable security posts is that they use a universal socket meaning you can have several sockets in different locations but use the same post in any of them. A good example of this is when a security post is being used to protect a vehicle on a drive way. One socket can be installed behind the vehicle with the other to the side of it. So when removing the post from its secure position (behind the vehicle) it can then be moved to the other socket in its “parked or stored location” when using the vehicle.

The last item in this range is the Hoop Barrier. These are predominately used to secure retail parks, car parks and garage forecourts. Although the hoop barrier offers effective access restrictions it also offers a high level of security. They are available in a static or removable option with different heights and gauges of steel. Coming as standard in a galvanised finish they can be powder coated any standard RAL colour.
