Delivery Information

Delivery rates

As we carry such a vast range of products with varying weights and sizes some of our delivery rates need to be calculated. This will be done immediately prior to confirming the order with you. Many of our products are delivered for free when the order value exceeds £500.00. The same applies to our steel door range when the order value exceeds £1000.00.

Where and when we deliver

All our products are delivered via reputable courier services, to any location in the UK. Our normal delivery times are 8.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday. If you require a specific date or time other than our standard delivery run, then an additional charge may be applied. This will be discussed with you prior to accepting your order. We will always give you notice of the date and approximate time a delivery will be made to you.

Delivery timescales

Once an order has been placed we will contact you within 24hrs to confirm your delivery details, including address, contact details, contact numbers etc. and your exact order requirements.

Urgent deliveries

If your order is urgent then we can offer a pre 9.30am and a pre noon delivery service. This will be chargeable and dependant on the weight of your delivery. We will discuss the cost of this service with you when you place an order.

Pre delivery

We will ask you to provide us with a full postal address with postcode. We also require a contact telephone number. If you are having a large item delivered to your home, business or site then a competent person must be available to aid with off-loading and also for signing the paper work. As some of our delivery vehicles are fairly large, please advise us if you know of any obstacles which could hamper the delivery vehicle.

Packaging

Although we are delivering security products that are relatively robust, they still have the potential to be damaged during transit. Therefore all our products are well packaged using bubble wrap, cardboard and shrink wrap to protect them. Our roller shutters which do have delicate components are sent using heavy gauge cardboard and in some instances a wooden crate will be used, particularly if ordering one of our roller garage doors. In some cases our steel doors are delivered attached to a pallet. This ensures that the product which is heavy can not fall over causing damage or injury.

Deliveries to own premises

In some circumstances depending on the size and weight of the products you have ordered we will require a person to assist with off-loading, checking quantities and for any damage, then finally to sign the delivery paper work.

Deliveries to site

If a delivery is being made to site then a competent person must be available to aid with off- loading and for signing the paper work, we will also require the contact number of this person.

If the delivery is large and consists of many individual items then it would be useful if there are several people available to aid with the off-loading.

If possible please ensure that you have a safe dry location to unload the products safely and securely.

When a delivery is received it is very important to check the goods are satisfactory that nothing is missing or damaged. If you suspect any damage or the quantities do not add up to your delivery note please be sure to highlight this on the drivers copy. We can then take up and shortages or damage with the courier company.

Damages or shortages

Please ensure that you fully check your order once it has been delivered. If the packaging has been damaged in anyway and you suspect the goods have been damaged or the quantity is incorrect, please highlight this on the driver’s copy of the delivery note. If you are using a Stanley knife or similar to open any goods please take extra care to avoid any damage from occurring. Should your goods be damaged or have any parts missing then please notify us within 24 hours of receipt.
